World’s first ‘Digital-to-Physical’ talent hunt programme allows amateur and professional cricketers from all over the world to demonstrate their talents through smartphone app
 

 

Date: Abu Dhabi and Dubai, UAE, October 24, 2019:   Eoin Morgan, the World Cup-winning skipper of England, has urged young cricketers to join him in Abu Dhabi T10, as a global talent hunt programme to select eight budding cricketers gets underway.
 
Abu Dhabi T10, the world’s only ten-over cricket league to be officially sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and licensed by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), has teamed up with UAE-based Dreams2Play to host a unique talent hunt programme, through which budding amateur cricketers from around the world may apply for selection to play in the Abu Dhabi T10.
 
Inviting young players to join him in Abu Dhabi T10, Eoin Morgan, said, “I am heading to Abu Dhabi. Be a part of my team as we take on the world’s finest international players in the Abu Dhabi T10 League!
 
“It’s the shortest format of cricket and the most exciting! The potential that this format and the league has is astronomical. It is our best format. Its unique and eight to ten teams could play a tournament in just ten to 12 days.”
 
Eoin Morgan, the winning captain of the ICC World Cup 2019, talked about the global talent hunt technology sports company, Dreams2Play, which in partnership with Abu Dhabi T10 League is going to find eight young emerging players to play in the Abu Dhabi T 10 league. 
 
The world’s first ‘Digital-to-Physical’ talent hunt programme allows young cricketers to create online profiles and upload videos of their bowling, batting and wicket-keeping performances through a smartphone app https://dreams2play.com – to be judged by a panel of ICC-approved coaches. 
 
Dreams2Play will then deliver a list of around 100 talented cricketers selected by the jury for a special player draft through which each of the eight competing teams will select one or two players for their squad. 
 
Dreams2Play is the brainchild of serial entrepreneur, Vishal Vyas, the scion of the Vyas Group with interests in software and sports management. He decided it was about time to technologically disrupt the talent recruitment process. Dreams2Play was founded to disrupt the traditional talent acquisition process in cricket and the sports world. The technology allows cricketers from all walks of life, to showcase their talent in the form of digital video uploads of their skills. The uploads are forwarded to the Dreams2Play offices where ICC approved coaches monitor, judge and grade the skills to evaluate if they are a good match for the Abu Dhabi T10 League in November.

Skills on offer can vary from batting, bowling, fielding and wicket-keeping. The easy four step process consists of signing up, paying entry fees (30 USD), uploading your skills and submitting and registering your entries.

Dreams2Play will select the best cricketers to be promoted on a fast track to success. From this select group, a minimum of 8 players will be selected for the Abu Dhabi T10 draft. These shortlisted cricketers will be given the opportunity to be a part of the 3rd season of the Abu Dhabi T10 Cricket League, scheduled from November 14- 24, 2019.

The ten-day Abu Dhabi T10 opens with a star-studded opening day performance by top-notch Bollywood entertainers set to wow the crowd at the host venue, Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, on 14 November 2019. The final match and the grand finale are set to take place on 24 November 2019.
