UAE, 12th March 2020: Automotive connoisseurs in Dubai savoured the exhilarating sensory experience of the Rolls-Royce lifestyle during AGMC’s Rolls-Royce Urban Drive.

Members of the press, loyal Rolls-Royce customers and those seeking to explore the visual and sensory performance of the marque, experienced the unique driving pleasure of icons including Phantom, Cullinan, Wraith and Dawn.

After enjoying the elegant mastery of Rolls-Royce models in Silver Badge guise during the first half of the Urban Drive, guests then discovered the unrivalled capability and finesse of the Black Badge family. This included the boldest expression of a Black Badge yet, the scintillating Rolls-Royce Black Badge Cullinan.

Mamdouh Khairallah, General Manager of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars AGMC, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome so many of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Dubai’s valued customers, VIP guests and members of the media to the first ever Rolls-Royce Boutique. We hosted the Rolls-Royce Urban Drive over 3 days, and it was an honour to provide our guests with a truly unforgettable experience”.

César Habib, Regional Director, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Middle East and Africa said: “The Rolls-Royce Urban Drive is unique opportunity to showcase the Rolls-Royce lifestyle, the famous ‘Magic Carpet Ride’ of our motor cars, and the more agile interpretation of Rolls-Royce within the Black Badge family.”

Rolls-Royce Phantom: The Best Car in the World
From the moment Sir Henry Royce introduced the Rolls-Royce Phantom in 1925 it was judged ‘The Best Car in the World’ by the cognoscenti. As a result it has conveyed some of the world’s most influential and powerful men and women to the most defining historical moments over the last 116 years.

Rolls-Royce has revolutionised the luxury car industry itself by shifting away from the status quo of shared platforms to an entirely new luxury business model. As the next chapter in the Rolls-Royce story opens, the New Rolls-Royce Phantom points the way forward for the global luxury industry.

The first Rolls-Royce to be built on the new Architecture of Luxury, the New Phantom is a wholly new and contemporary interpretation of the Phantom DNA, delivering new levels of iconic presence and an increased elegance of line suggesting both poise and stability at speed and an unrushed Grand Arrival.

The aluminium ‘Architecture of Luxury’ underpinning Phantom ensures the architectural and proportional lineage of Rolls-Royce, while delivering a new level of ‘Magic Carpet Ride’ because it is lighter, stiffer, quieter and more technologically advanced. ‘The Suite’ re-defines Rolls-Royce comfort and refinement inside, while ‘The Gallery’ is an unprecedented new concept in luxury. Reinterpreting the motor car’s dashboard for the first time in 100 years, patrons will be able to commission a truly individual work of art that spans the width of The Gallery.
Wraith: A masterpiece of elegant simplicity
Rolls-Royce Wraith presents a masterpiece of elegant simplicity, exuding poise and the promise of dynamism. The swept lines of the fastback, a style whose origins can be found in 1930s automotive design, most clearly signal its purposeful character. Performance complements the drama of exterior styling. A shorter wheelbase, wider rear track, 624 bhp / 465kW derived from the twin turbo V12 give expression to the car’s dynamic looks. Wraith is every inch a refined and luxurious Rolls-Royce, a car where the sense of arrival and joy of the journey are as important as the canvas upon which it is drawn.

Dawn: The world’s only true modern four-seater super-luxury drophead
Rolls-Royce Dawn is the world’s only true modern four-seater super-luxury drophead. The roof delivers the silence of a Wraith when up and operates in almost complete silence in just over 20 seconds at a cruising speed of up to 50kph. 80% of the exterior body panels of the new Dawn are newly designed to accommodate an evolution of Rolls-Royce’s design language and to encapsulate highly contemporary, four-seat super-luxury drophead architecture. With a power output of 563bhp or 420kW at 5,250rpm and a torque rating of 780Nm or 575 lb ft at 1,500rpm, Dawn’s driving experience is exceptional.

Cullinan: The Rolls-Royce of SUVs
An all-terrain high-bodied car, Cullinan makes the idea of authentic, super-luxury off-road travel a reality for the first time. The second new Rolls-Royce to sit on the aluminium ‘Architecture of Luxury’, Cullinan is an incredibly capable off-roader that sees the development of the ‘Magic Carpet Ride’ for off-road enjoyment, without sacrificing any Rolls-Royce on-road behaviour. The 6.75 litre twin-turbo V12 Rolls-Royce engine delivers 563bhp/420kW and 850Nm/627lb ft of torque to the all-new all-wheel drive, all-wheel steer system needed to overcome any challenge.

Black Badge:
At the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars presented Black Badge; a permanent Bespoke family of motor cars that defined the taste patterns of an emerging generation of super-luxury consumer. These unapologetic and highly dynamic products responded to those who refused to be defined by traditional codes of luxury and did much to attract new customers to the marque, reassured by Rolls-Royce’s fluency in their bold aesthetic and uncompromising lifestyle requirements.

This highly successful alter ego is codified by the mathematical symbol that represents a potential infinity, which is placed discreetly within the motor car’s interior. This marking, known also as the lemniscate, was applied to Sir Malcolm Campbell’s record-breaking Rolls-Royce-powered Blue Bird K3 hydroplane, denoting that it belonged to an insurance class reserved for boats with unlimited and therefore infinite engine power. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars selected this hallmark for Black Badge to reflect its own unrelenting pursuit of power.

Rolls-Royce debuted Black Badge with Wraith and Ghost in 2016 followed by Dawn in 2017. Today, the family is completed with the introduction of Black Badge Cullinan: the darkest and most urban statement of Black Badge yet.
