Union Coop is looking forward to expand its presence further in the emirate of Dubai 

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, June 10, 2020: 

The largest Consumer Cooperative in the UAE, Union Coop through its ‘Investment Division’ has revealed that the completion rate of its Warqa’a City Mall reached 92%, with approximate cost of AED 215 Million, and is supposed to increase the strategic merchandise stock to 20%. The project comes within the framework of Union Coop’s plan for strategic expansion and increasing its outreach to serve the members of society, and contribute to obtaining a unique shopping experience.
Revealing the details on this, H.E. Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO of Union Coop said: “The Al Warqa’a City Mall project is located in Al Warqa’a-3 area of Dubai, will overlook the Tripoli Street that separates Al Warqa’a area from Mirdif and leads to Emirates Road. Moreover, the strategic location enables the mall to serve a large segment of the population of the region.”

The Project consists of two basements, ground, first floor and offices floor with a total buildup area of 673,200 sq. ft. The two floors of the basement and part of the ground floor are allocated to parking lots with a number of 671 parking spaces, divided into 224 parking spaces on the second basement floor, 224 on the first basement floor and 223 parking lots on the ground floor. The mall will also contain 44 stores with an area of 56, 664 sq. ft. distributed into 26 stores on the ground floor and 18 on the first floor. The second floor of the building will also be used for the Union Coop management offices with an area of 55, 000 sq. ft.

Union Coop has coordinated with the Roads and Transport Authority to implement the roads surrounding the mall as well as the link to Tripoli’s main street, at a total cost of AED 25 Million and a completion rate of 20%. All roads works are expected to complete by mid-July.

Currently, Al Warqa’a City Mall project is in the final finishing stages and under inspection by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority to connect the electricity. The showroom shelfing and refrigerating equipment are already supplied and the installation has started. The project will be delivered by the contractor in the middle of the next month.
