Achievement reflects free zone’s efficient and excellent digital services

January 3, 2021: The Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) has received a five-star rating given by the Department of Digital Ajman under the first phase of its ‘Star System for Governmental Digital Services Project.’ The high classification was granted after the free zone’s eight sub-services included in its main ‘Licenses and Lease Contracts’ service met all of the star system’s criteria.

The distinguished achievement comes amid the Ajman Free Zone’s continuous efforts to leverage advanced technological innovations, as well as develop and expand the scope of its digital services to comply with regulatory measures concerning trade, business and investment activities. Its efforts are in line with the directives of the wise leadership to accelerate the digital transformation of Ajman so that it can meet the requirements of the future.

H.E. Eng. Ali Abdulla bin Towaih AlSuwaidi, Director General of Ajman Free Zone, attributed the high rating to the unwavering support of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman, Ajman Free Zone, who directed the improvement of the free zone’s digital services to achieve efficiency and bring happiness to customers.

H.E. added: “We thank the Department of Digital Ajman for its confidence in us. We take great pride in the fact that eight of our services received a five-star rating from the Department, which reflects the superiority and efficiency of our e-services. The five-star rating will further inspire us to keep moving forward and accelerate the digital transformation of our operations. In addition, we will also increase the Ajman Free Zone’s contributions to the digital transformation journey of Ajman and the UAE, in line with the government’s strategies and wise directives of our leadership.”

The five-star rating is the highest rating under the Department of Digital Ajman’s ‘Star System for Governmental Digital Services Project.’ The Ajman Digital Department provides government entities in Ajman with legislative tools and regulatory means to facilitate their digital transformation.
