Dubai Government Workshop holds first meeting for leadership team to discuss 2021 work plan
Government excellence and smart transformation part of DGW’s top priorities this year
UAE, 24 January 2021: The Dubai Government Workshop (DGW) recently held its first leadership team meeting this year to review the results of the organization’s 2020 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the prominent aspects of its 2021 action plans. The attendees also took a closer look into the benefits of the ‘Smart System of the Government Excellence Model (GEM),’ in addition to tackling the future of its work procedures to ensure DGW’s leadership in the areas of service delivery excellence and outstanding customer experience.
The meeting was part of DGW’s efforts to help build a culture of government excellence in Dubai through its services delivered according to the highest international standards and the best global practices.
During the meeting, H.E. Fahad Ahmed Al-Raeesi, CEO of DGW, reiterated DGW’s commitment to raise even higher its level of performance this year. He cited the DGW’s employee training programs were designed to enhance their competencies, follow best work practices and meet the highest international standards. Doing so will enable them to exceed customer expectations, in line with the UAE’s bid to be one of the best countries in the world on all fronts.
Al-Raeesi assured that DGW will continue to adopt the best practices of governance as part of its institutional work, noting that it will enhance its ability to utilize government resources in an effective, efficient and sustainable manner. H.E. added that DGW will remain relentless in its efforts to establish a culture of excellence and improve the quality of services provided to customers.
He said: “The meeting allowed us to review the results of our KPIs last year and discuss our work plan for the current year. We also focused on how to leverage the ‘Smart System of the Government Excellence Model,’ which is vital to the digital transformation of Dubai as it bids to become the world’s smartest city. This is in line with the vision and directives of our wise leadership. Excellence in government and institutional work is the dominant feature of our work plan for the current year. This 2021, we will also focus on providing the best innovative services and adopting the latest smart systems to facilitate our work and enhance the confidence of our customers. As part of our current plan, we will continue to enhance the capabilities of our employees as well. This is in keeping with our initiatives to deliver high-level services according to the current and future needs of our customers and guarantee their happiness and satisfaction.”
