MUSCO LIGHTING LLC CONTINUES TO SHINE LIGHT AT YAS MARINA CIRCUIT UNTIL 2023

Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, UAE, July 8, 2021: Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management and Musco Lighting LLC have announced an extension to their long-term partnership.

Musco has been the service provider for track lighting at Yas Marina Circuit since 2009, and the extension will see the partnership run until December 2023, with Musco set to light up the new-look track following the reconfiguration programme it will undergo over the summer.
Musco is responsible for the installation of track lighting across Yas Marina Circuit’s Main Track, Drag Strip, and Yas Kartzone, which was recently enhanced with a Musco Total Light Control – TLC for LED™ System. 

The US-based company has played a pivotal role in the overall functionality of the venue over the course of the past 12 years, particularly in facilitating its showpiece event, the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix , which is famous for its twilight race starting in the daylight and running into the night.

Musco, which specializes in the design of sports lighting solutions globally, has installed over 4,000 light fixtures at Yas Marina Circuit, which is the equivalent of 6.8 megawatts of power. Due to their work, track lighting at the venue can be set up to operate at a 25, 50, or 100 percent lighting level to accommodate all event types from private venue and track hire to the weekly Community Health and Fitness Events, ADNOC TrainYas™. 
It was through the quality of Musco’s lighting solution that the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix became the first event of its type in history to start in daylight and end at nighttime, a theme which has continued right up until the current day.

Musco is also responsible for lighting Yas Marina Circuit’s Drag Strip and Kartzone with 396 fixtures installed at the venue. The Drag Strip and Kartzone host a number of spectacular events throughout the year, including the Super Street Challenge and popular Karting Enduro race.
