As many as 28 retailers won the prestigious RetailME Awards 2021 held alongside the 10th Middle East Retail Forum in Dubai on Wednesday

What does Lulu International Group, Apparel Group, Centrepoint, ENOC, Splash, Jashanmal, Majid Al Futtaim, Danube Online, Mohammed Alshaya Group and Aldo have in common? They all won the Images RetailME Awards 2021, held at the Conrad Dubai Hotel on November 24, 2021.

Images RetailME received over 110 nominations under 25+ categories from retailers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Egypt and more. All nominations were reviewed by a distinguished panel of jury members consisting of Laila Mohammed Suhail, Chief Executive Officer - Strategic Alliances and Partnerships Sector at DTCM; deVere Forster, Chief Commercial Officer of Dubai CommerceCity; Mark Thomson, Retail Industry Director EMEA at Zebra Technologies; Mohammad Iqbal Alawi, Managing Partner and CEO at Real Estate Development Solutions; Phil McArthur, Founder and Chairman at McARTHUR Retail Development Specialists; Kalika Tripathi, Senior Director Marketing Planning and Strategy CEMEA at Visa International; and Amitabh Taneja, Chairman of Images Group. 

Nearly 30 awards were given out on Wednesday night to retail leaders from different companies across the region during the gala ceremony. The awards recognised the achievements of retailers from the region who have had the courage to think out-of-the-box and bring innovative retail concepts and experiences equipped with emerging technologies and data that the world has access to today. 

Welcoming the delegates, Justina Eitzinger, Chief Operating Officer of Images Group Middle East, organiser of the Middle East Retail Forum and RetailME Awards, said, “Held alongside Middle East Retail Forum (MRF), the RetailME Awards recognizes the achievements of retailers from the region who have had the courage to think out-of-the-box to bring innovative retail concepts and experiences equipped with emerging technologies and data that the world has access to today.

It was truly a privilege for me to go through all your nominations along with the jury and watch how your efforts unfolded into tangible results of excellence this year.”

Images RetailME Awards aims to serve as a benchmark in the Middle Eastern retail industry by honouring best practices and efforts of the retail fraternity, which serves as a massive contributor to the overall economy. The categories have been carefully designed to ensure equal opportunities to all verticals across the board.
