World Art Dubai's Jam-Packed Programme Makes Art Accessible for all Ages

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 10 March 2023: The region’s largest contemporary art fair and one of Dubai Art Season’s main events, World Art Dubai (WAD), is back at Dubai World Trade Centre until 12th March 2023 with a jam-packed programme of experiential art activations, engaging live art performances and curated art talks and workshops that the whole family can enjoy. 

Set to be the biggest edition of the art-filled event to date, WAD is a colourful palette of fun for all and will give families the opportunity to immerse themselves in the latest trends in the art world, meet the local and international arts community, and even try their hands at hands-on art activities. This year’s fair will showcase works from a diverse range of sectors that include Painting, Sculpture, Live Performances, Print, Photography, Digital Art, Video Art and more that provide ideal edutainment for children, young people and adults who are young at heart.

Renowned for uniting more than 300 local and international exhibitors from more than 60 countries, WAD will showcase diverse, accessible and original art all under one roof, from emerging artists to established talent, making it a truly unmissable highlight in the Dubai arts season calendar for art lovers young and old.

WAD Workshops
On Sunday 12th March, WAD declares a dedicated family day, with a workshop programme that will feature activities, especially for children and young people to be creative in a wide range of art styles and forms.  A unique fusion of art, education and entertainment, the WAD workshops will run from 1pm to 9pm in the WAD Studio.

Art is known to have incredible benefits for kids and WAD 2023 has a plethora of workshops that will boost their creativity, encourage fine motor skills, and also provide a great deal of fun!

Highlights for petit Picassos include Acrylic Painting for Kids by Nahida Beshara; Kids Imprinting Workshop by Leena Kewlani; Kids Build a Snowman Workshop by Sumedha Goel; Calligraphy on Japanese-style Fans (Uchiwa) by Keigetsu Kawahara; Nikon Kids Photo Club by Arya Chitra; Drawing Anime / Manga Way by Yuko Sugiyama, and a Stone Art Workshop by Funun Arts Artist. 

WAD Future Artists 
This year, WAD is nurturing and rewarding artistic talent in Dubai’s education network by giving pupils the chance to be seen, thrive and network with the art world. Pupils from Jumeira Baccalaureate School; Repton School Dubai; GEMS New Millennium School; Dubai British School Jumeirah Park; Horizon International School; GEMS Modern Academy, Dubai; American Academy for Girls; Dubai International Academy Al Barsha; Horizon English School; Durham Dubai School; Hessa Bint Al Mor School; Zayed Educational Complex Sharjah, and Al Raya Girls School have been invited to exhibit collaborative pieces in a range of different art forms under the theme of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
