ENOC wins Title of the Cricket Competition of the 4th Labor Sports Tournament

Dubai - United Arab Emirates:  ENOC Team has won the title of the cricket competition of the 4th Labor Sports Tournament, which was held with remarkable participation of 20 thousand laborers from different companies working in the Emirate of Dubai.

The Labor Sports Tournament, the biggest of its kind, was organized by Dubai Sports Council (DSC) in collaboration with the Permanent Committee of Labor Affairs in Dubai, Dubai Police & the Positive Soul Initiative, under title “Their Happiness is Our Goal”. 

Participants in the Labor Sports Tournament competed in 11 sports competitions; as follows: kabaddi, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, arm wrestling, yoga, tug of war, cricket, road race & swimming.   

The cricket competition took place at the laborers accommodation’s pitches of Dubai Holding in Jebel Ali with participation of 32 teams from various companies. 

The first three winning teams along players who won individual titles in the various categories of the competition were honored by Mr. Abdulla Al-Shukri, the Secretary General of the Permanent Committee of Labor Affairs in Dubai, and DSC’s Representative.   

ENOC surpassed Kalgidar Transport counterpart in the final match of the cricket competition to win the competition’s title. Kalgidar has therefore secured the 2nd place followed by Desert Group in the 3rd place. The ENOC's Pereira was honored as best player, while Nachiket Singh of Kalgidar Transport gained the best batsman’s title & Sufian from BK Gulf was awarded as best bowler in the competition.     
 
The Tournament is held under the sponsorship of DP World, Dubai Holding, DUTCO, Dulsco, Landmark, World Security and Taqdeer Award.
 
DSC organizes the Labor Sports Tournament to give laborers unique opportunity to exercise favorite sports, spend entertaining times, break the daily routine of work, cement social ties with counterparts in other entities & improve level of physical fitness. It also brings joy for laborers, provides them with physical fitness and helps them to increase productivity. The Tournament meets DSC’s strategy to create a distinctive & happy sports society.
