QNET Launches in South Africa, Expanding Its Global Footprint
DUBAI, May 29, 2023 – QNET, a global direct selling company, has officially opened its doors in Sandton, Johannesburg, marking a significant milestone for the company as it continues to expand its reach across the African continent. QNET, known for its high-quality products and grassroots business model, has been empowering communities worldwide since its inception in 1998.
'We've been involved in the sub-Saharan Africa region for nearly 15 years, witnessing the growth of the direct selling industry in East and West Africa over time. Establishing a presence in South Africa was a natural step for QNET as we mark the 25th anniversary of the company this year. Joining a thriving industry here opens up exciting opportunities for us. We hope to build a community of fans around our life-enhancing products and services here and aim to source local products that we can take to our global customers, 'says Malou Caluza, CEO of QNET.
According to the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations, South Africa's direct selling industry generated over US$759 million in sales in 2021, with over one million independent representatives actively selling products for various direct selling companies.
QNET offers a wide variety of exclusive and internationally certified products through its e-commerce platform to a global customer base. In South Africa, QNET's product offerings include health and wellness, personal care, home and living, and luxury watches. In mid-March, QNET announced the launch of the local operations with a soft launch event for its distributors at the company's Johannesburg office. The new QNET SA office currently includes four employees who will manage operations, customer support, and logistics, with expansion plans as the business grows.
QNET's Regional General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, Biram Fall, states, 'Health and wellness products have proven very popular with South African consumers in the direct selling space. Our nutrition, wellness, and home care offerings have been specifically designed with the post-pandemic consumer mindset that prioritises self-care and family well-being. We're looking forward to the customer response from our new distributors in South Africa.'
In addition to the focus on promoting quality products, QNET will also invest heavily in training its distributors in professional practices, industry knowledge, business ethics, and more. QNET will also be exploring opportunities for collaboration with local businesses, NGOs, and other entities to design impact initiatives that contribute to the community and demonstrate its commitment to the growth of the South African economy.
