Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 19, 2023: During its participation in GITEX Global 2023, the Dubai Health Authority(DHA) launched the 'Mawaheb' smart platform to enhance medical education and healthcare innovation. The platform aligns with the principles of the Services 360  and is integrated with various systems in the emirate.

Mawaheb is a comprehensive platform developed by the Authority to improve medical education, research, and innovation in the field of healthcare in the Emirate of Dubai. It is an integrated electronic platform that connects with various systems of entities in Dubai and offers a range of services for health professionals, medical and health sciences students, and healthcare and training facilities.

Dr. Marwan Al Mulla, CEO of Health Regulation Sector at the DHA said  the platform reflects the authority's commitment to achieving Dubai's vision for digital transformation. He said that the goal is to enhance medical education, research, and innovation in the healthcare field. Through this platform, users can access a diverse set of services related to medical education and research management.

Al Mulla said that this includes resources and tools for health professionals and students, as well as support for healthcare and training facilities.

He added that the aim is to facilitate and improve the quality of medical education and foster advancements in the healthcare sector in Dubai.

The platform aims to support healthcare talents across different fields by connecting and transforming all training, education, and medical research services into a comprehensive and interconnected smart platform. It is also linked with the 'Sheryan' platform for licensing healthcare professionals and facilities in Dubai.

Dr. Mulla emphasised the importance of this platform, which adds to the portfolio of high-quality services provided by the Dubai Health Authority. It is a result of collaboration and partnership between the authority and various government and private institutions, including the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai.

He highlighted the multiple services that the platform will offer through 'Dubai Now,' related to the management of medical education and research services provided by the authority. These services will benefit healthcare professionals, medical science students, medical researchers, healthcare facilities, and medical training centres, with the aim of enhancing medical education, research, and innovation in healthcare.

Dr. Mulla stated that the launch of this smart platform reflects the authority's commitment to realising Dubai's vision for digital transformation in the healthcare sector, and to maximise the utilisation of technology and modern techniques to provide digital and real-time services that meet the needs of individuals around the clock, following the best service delivery standards.
