Dubai, UAE 4 February 2025: Day three of Dubai Fashion Week (DFW) underscored a dynamic diversity and calibre of designers taking the runway. The day kicked off with a multi-designer showcase curated by Etoile La Boutique, followed by a boundary-pushing collection by DFW Member BLSSD. New York-based British-Iraqi designer Tara Babylon unveiled the captivating ‘Princess of Thieves’ collection, embracing vibrant Middle Eastern themes before DFW Member Dima Ayad wrapped up the day with a celebration of inclusivity through timeless style. The city’s official fashion week, DFW was co-founded by Dubai Design District (d3), a part of TECOM Group PJSC, and the Arab Fashion Council to cement Dubai’s status as a global fashion capital. It runs at d3 until 6 February.
ETOILE LA BOUTIQUE
Etoile La Boutique’s invite-only showcase unveiled a compelling and meticulously curated multi-designer collection, ‘Twilight to Midnight.’ The seamless transition of styles, reflecting the elegance and allure of evening fashion, celebrated luxury, craftsmanship, and contemporary glamour.
Following its outstanding runway presentation, Etoile La Boutique hosted an exclusive event at Gitano Dubai that brought the ‘Twilight to Midnight’ theme off the runway. Industry leaders, influencers and other VIPs continued to indulge in the elegance and glamour of the occasion in an intimate and vibrant setting.
BLSSD
DFW Member BLSSD showcased its daring and innovative new collection on day three. The UAE-born and bred streetwear and ready-to-wear label impressed packed crowds with experimental styles, seasonal colours and bold designs that captured BLSSD’s classic creative approach to boundary-defying modern street fashion.
TARA BABYLON
New York-based British-Iraqi designer Tara Babylon took over the runway with her Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, ‘Princess of Thieves.’ Bringing a warm and tropical vibe to winter, the Middle Eastern-inspired palm tree prints and earthy green tones reclaimed what was once lost, like oil and palm trees. Tara wove the desert prints into recycled cotton tapestry, using weaving, printing, hardware, and crochet techniques to create stylish, sustainable winter pieces. The result is a range of elegant and comfortable designs that blend texture, print and sustainability with a touch of Middle Eastern charm.
DIMA AYAD
DFW Member Dima Ayad celebrated diversity and female empowerment in the brand’s classic, inclusive styles. A beautiful blend of seasonal colours suited to the season, including rich tones and soft pastels, the collection featured elegant and modern designers focusing on flattering silhouettes and luxurious fabrics designed for women of all shapes and sizes. The inspired display reflected Ayad’s commitment to inclusivity and timeless style.
DFW is brought to life through strategic partnerships with leading international brands, including Visa as the official technology partner, Balmain Hair Couture as the official hair partner, Kiko Milano as the official make-up partner, ME Dubai as the official hospitality partner and Electra and Magnum as the production and audio-visual partners, respectively. Additional support comes from Fiji Water as the hydration partner and Bisou as the official lounge partner.
