700 athletes took part in the unique DXB Snow Run with Record 700 Participants from 70 Nations

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 18 May 2025: The sixth edition of the prestigious DXB Snow Run concluded successfully today at Ski Dubai, drawing an impressive 700 athletes from 70 countries, including 150 Emirati nationals. Organized in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council, the unique sporting event challenged participants aged 13-65 to navigate either 3km or 5km courses through the snow-covered slopes of the World's Best Indoor Ski Resort.

Distinguished guests at the event included H.E. Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, and H.E. Marwan Abdulla Alzaabi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Regions Sector at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment. Following the competition, Eissa Al Shareef, Director of Sports Events Department at Dubai Sports Council, Mohammad El Etri, Managing Director of Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment, and Olivier Saez, Vice President - Global Snow at Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment, presented trophies to the category winners.

In the Women's 5km division, Pia Hansske delivered a commanding performance, completing five laps of Ski Dubai in 23 minutes and 18 seconds to claim first place. Moustafa Attia dominated the Men's 5km category with an impressive time of 20 minutes and 17 seconds. The 3km competitions saw Noura Al Khalaf triumph in the Women's division with a remarkable time of 20 minutes and 1 second, while Abdelali Bouazzaoui secured victory in the Men's category, finishing in just 13 minutes and 44 seconds. In the Team category, SFM JRC emerged victorious with an average time of 20 minutes and 55 seconds.

Established in 2020 as one of the world's first snow sports competitions to resume following pandemic lockdowns, the DXB Snow Run has consistently attracted enthusiastic participation from the region's sports community. The event's continued popularity led to this year's sixth edition, reinforcing Dubai's position as a global hub for innovative sporting experiences.

Ski Dubai and Dubai Sports Council maintain an ongoing partnership to host distinctive events that align with their shared mission of enhancing community wellbeing through promotion of healthy, active lifestyles and making snow sports accessible to everyone. Sports enthusiasts can look forward to the 16th edition of the Ice Warrior Challenge, a renowned endurance test scheduled for September this year.

The DXB Snow Run received sponsorship from a diverse range of partners including VOX Cinemas, Activate, iFLY Dubai, Yalla! Bowling, AllSaints, Carrefour, lululemon, Barebells, Vitamin Well, The Brooklyn Creamery Middle East, and RootFoot.
