Jeddah - 21 November 2014 -Anjum Hotel Makkah, one of the renowned Anjum Hotels owned and developed by Abdul Latif Jameel Real Estate Investment Co. (ALJREIC), recently held an honorary ceremony for its strategic partners in hospitality and tourism industries in Egypt as part of its strong commitment to reinforce its existing cooperation with the local sectors. Held on November 19, 2014, the event was attended by CEO of ALJREIC: Claude Chesnais, the Hotel General Manager: Ahmed Sabry and other hotel team members. Leading local tourism companies, authorities and travel agencies were recognized for their significant contributions and efforts to promote Anjum Hotel Makkah across Egypt.

The honorary ceremony came after concluding two Hajj and Ummrah exhibitions in the same week. Especially that the hotel witnessed strong performance during this year’s Hajj and Umrah season. The hotel received a high number of pilgrims and Ummrah performers from all over the world. The highest number of pilgrims that stayed in the hotel was those from Egypt. Ahmed Sabry attributed the positive turnout to the hotels’ commitment to strengthen its presence in Egypt and address the various needs of local pilgrims in cooperation with its strategic partners in the country.

“At Anjum Hotel Makkah, we are keen on offering world-class services and state-of-the-art facilities to provide our guests with exquisite experience. Our success is also due to the efforts of our local strategic partners that consistently promote our services to their clients and support our expansion plans across the region. Our expansion efforts strive to serve a large number of tourists who are travelling to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for religious purposes,” Sabry added.

Anjum Hotel Makkah offers a wide range of world-class services and facilities that are specifically designed to meet all tourism requirements for religious purposes in Saudi Arabia. With its 26 elevators across the entire facility to ensure fast and seamless transportation, the hotel is equipped with latest tools and technologies which enable it to accommodate the increasing flow of guests during prayer times. As part of the hotel’s priorities to satisfy the requirements and enhance the experience of its clients, its Guest Service Centre is manned by a highly qualified team who works round-the-clock to attend to the guests’ needs and complaints.

The Department of Statistics and Information of Saudi Arabia revealed that the total number of pilgrims for this year hajj and ummrah season reached 2,085,238 pilgrims, of whom 1,389,053 pilgrims from outside the Kingdom.
