Hyatt expands on plans for gcc growth at atm dubai

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (May 4, 2015) – Hyatt announced today at the annual Arabian Travel Market (ATM) exhibition in Dubai that it continues to spotlight the burgeoning Gulf Cooperative Council (GCC) market with new hotels across several of its brands -- from the bold and dramatic Grand Hyatt to the upscaleHyatt Place and Hyatt House brands.

At least ninenew Hyatt-branded hotelsare expected to openacross the GCC by 2017. Six of these nine new regional hotels will open in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and join the existing Park Hyatt Jeddah Marina, Club and Spa.

Hyatt continues to diversify its offerings in the GCC with one of the fastest growing brands in its global portfolio – the upscale Hyatt Place brand. The company will also introduce itsupscale extended stay Hyatt House brand in the region for the first time with Hyatt House Jeddah/Sari Street and Hyatt House Makkah.

The Grand Hyatt brand will be showcased for the first time in the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) when the iconic Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Residences Emirates Pearl opens.

GCC Development Pipeline
Hyatt currently has 10 properties operating across the GCC, with a number of new openings through to 2017, including Hyatt Regency Makkah, Hyatt Place Dubai/Baniyas Square, Hyatt Regency RiyadhOlaya, Grand Hyatt Abu DhabiHotel and Residences Emirates Pearl, Park Hyatt Doha, Hyatt Place Makkah and Hyatt House Makkah, Hyatt House Jeddah/Sari Street and Hyatt Place Jeddah/Medina Road.

2015/16 Openings
Hyatt Regency Makkah
Hyatt Regency Makkah is part of a two-phase, mixed-use development in the heart of Makkah -- a one-minute walk to Al-Masjid Al-Haram.

The hotel offers 657 guest rooms including 26 suites over 19 floors, with a Royal Suite on the 18th floor, overlooking Al-Masjid Al-Haram. All rooms offer rich textures, designer décor and fine contemporary furnishings as well as the latest services and facilities. Each guestroom has been thoughtfully designed for the fulfilment of religious duties. Natural lighting permeates the property, augmenting its panoramic views of the holy city.

Hyatt Place Dubai/Baniyas Square
Hyatt Place Dubai/Baniyas Square is conveniently located in Nasser Square-Dubai's historic district on the eastern side of Dubai Creek famed for its wealth of enriching individual experiences for both business and leisure travellers.

With 126 spacious guestrooms, Hyatt Place Dubai/Baniyas Square features a variety of services and amenities, including free Gallery Kitchen hot breakfast served daily during your stay. The Gallery Cafe, offers carefully chosen and delicious a la carte selections for lunch and dinner in a modern comfortable ambiance.

Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotels and Residences
The iconic 47-story hotel is located on the southwest end of the Coastal Boulevard in the prestigious Ras Al Akhdar district of central Abu Dhabi. It is conveniently located close to upscale shopping malls and tourist attractions and is only 30 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The contemporary “twisting” glass tower will offer 368 rooms and 60 fully furnished service apartments with four restaurants, a lounge, two bars, extensive meeting facilities and a sophisticated spa and fitness centre.

Hyatt Regency Riyadh Olaya
Hyatt Regency Riyadh Olaya enjoys a prime city location in the commercial and retail heart of Riyadh. Situated just 30 minutes from King Khaled International Airport, near the city’s financial district and the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre, the hotel is an ideal setting for both business and leisure activities.

The hotel’s 261 spacious guestrooms, including 40 suites, are spread across 28 floors of graceful, modern architecture. All rooms and suites offer rich textures, designer décor, fine furnishings, panoramic views of the vibrant city of Riyadh and natural daylight equally suited to work or relaxation.

Hyatt House Jeddah/Sari Street
Due to open in the fourth quarter of 2016, Hyatt House Jeddah/Sari Street is located in the Al Faysaliayah District, in close proximity to Sari and Thaliay Streets which connect it to the Corniche.  The extended stay hotel in within a mile from Hyatt Place Jeddah/Medina Road, which is due to open in 2017.

The hotel will have 104 guest rooms, divided into 45% studios, 40% one bedrooms and 15% transient rooms.  It will also offer 100 square meters (1,076 square feet) of meeting space, as well as a gallery and restaurant, prayer room and small fitness center.

Hyatt is taking part at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai from 4 –7 May 2015, located in HC6450 in Sheikh Saeed Arena at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
