Nestlé renews partnership with Mohebi Logistics
Already a client for eight years, Nestlé has extended its long-term partnership with Mohebi Logistics for a further seven years. Both companies will be working closely in Dubai World Central (DWC).
The agreement announced recently, underlines the strong mutual bonds that have already paved the progress made by Nestlé in the GCC region. As Expo 2020 approaches, both companies are entering a new era destined to mark significant achievements.
This exciting development will see Mohebi Logistics store, pick and pack raw materials and finished goods from Nestlé’s existing factory at Technopark and their new 175,000 square meter facility under construction at DWC. Its products will be stored and handled at Mohebi Logistics’ new fully integrated site at DWC.
Collaboration with the leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness company
Nestlé is the leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness company in the world, offering preferred food and beverage products and brands in the local UAE market. A key component in delivering a competitive advantage has been its reliance on Mohebi Logistics' skills and local expertise.
At Mohebi's new site, 'just-in-time' factory flow will allow for quality checks of raw materials received from Nestlé's global suppliers which are then sent directly to the production line. No further inventory stock, no market delays. Mohebi Logistics will also continue to receive finished products from Nestle’s Global Network.
Mohammed Mohebi, CEO of Mohebi Logistics is delighted to further extend the company's long-term partnership with Nestle: 'It allows us the opportunity to keep providing world-class facilities, leading edge services and highly trained personnel with in-depth local market knowledge. We'll continue to deliver on our promise to say what we do and do what we say.'
Further extension into the GCC
The Mohebi-Nestlé cooperation at DWC will facilitate the ultimate one stop total supply chain solution. It will extend from handling the raw material for milk powder to delivering Kit Kat to the local supermarket. Quality, speed and optimized costs will be foremost. Finished products will be despatched by road and sea to the greater GCC region.
Nestlé’s customers will benefit from Mohebi Logistics value added services not only in the UAE but equally, in the greater GCC region as finished products are re-exported by road and sea. The advantages enjoyed in the UAE will be passed on to these other markets as well.
Yves Manghardt, Chairman & CEO of Nestlé Middle East, commented on the new seven-year agreement: 'This professional hub will allow us to cater to the more specific needs of the region using the latest technology available. We will also be able to further delight our consumers in the Middle East who will enjoy our products fresher and faster.”
