Forty new fashion brands and a phenomenal 198,000 new products have been added to the assortment making the market leader Souq.com, a one-stop-shop for widely sought-after fashion brands. This launch is being celebrated with ‘30 days of Fashion’ where one top regional and global brand will be available on sale each day, empowering Souq.com’s customers with the best prices at a click of a button – in line with its new tagline “It’s yours”.
Souq.com’s vastly expanding collection is set to leverage the growing trend toward fashion e-commerce – as online fashion queries and search in the UAE have grown 38% over the last three months*. Based on emerging global trend of women driving more mature markets such as the US, UK and China, Souq.com has identified huge potential to grow its business and further drive the e-commerce market, by expanding its portfolio with a broader appeal to women. Currently in the Middle East, the male population are shopping online more frequently – according to a recent survey**, the male/female split in the UAE is 59% to 41% and in KSA 61% to 39% respectively.
