Ras Al Khaimah, 13 August 2018:  RAK International Corporate Centre (RAK ICC), a world-class corporate registry in Ras Al Khaimah, has recently visited the Republic of Mauritius to introduce the growth opportunities that it offers to international business companies.

Led by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAK ICC, along with RAK ICC CEO Dr Sameer Al Ansari, the delegation met with high-level government officials, senior executives of banking institutions, as well as corporate service providers in Mauritius. The discussions covered various opportunities for cooperation, such as experience and information sharing, technical support especially through the Financial Services Commission, and banking services for RAKICC companies.

HH Sheikh Ahmed, stated: “Mauritius has been very successful in developing a strong global corporate services industry and we have learned a lot from them during our brief visit. Our meetings with their government, banking sector and corporate service representatives gave us a great opportunity to present the unique benefits that Ras Al Khaimah and RAK ICC offer to international business companies.”

“Changes in the international companies regulations are reshaping the offshore space. Hence, we are making sure that RAKICC is well positioned to comply with and benefit from these changes,” said Dr Al Ansari. “For example, the phasing out of GBC 2 companies in Mauritius provides us with a great opportunity to work with Mauritius based corporate service providers to re-domicile some companies. GBC 2 companies that will transfer to RAK ICC will be able to take advantage of the wide-ranging benefits that we offer, such as 100% ownership and zero taxation, state-of-the-art legislations, robust compliance procedures, and ownership of real properties.”

With a strong global reputation and presence representing clients from over 150 countries, RAK ICC offers customised products as well as automated and simplified registry services. RAK ICC also uniquely offers its clients the option to establish a subsidiary with Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), one of the leading business hubs in the United Arab Emirates for free zone and non-free zone companies.
