Ahead of the upcoming Eid-Al –Adha festival, the Emirati children at British Orchard Nursery, Government branches bring smiles on the workers’ faces

August 19, 2018; Dubai, UAE:  Celebrating the spirit of generosity and bringing happiness to the Blue-collar workers, the British Orchard Nursery children at their Dubai Municipality, Deira and Dubai Central Laboratory branches handed out Eid Gifts to community helpers.

The Emirati children distributed food boxes containing various food items along with telephone cards so that the workers could call their families back home and share the joy and festivities surrounding the festival of Eid. The children thanked the cleaners and workers for working so hard and ensuring everything runs smoothly.

The labourers were delighted to receive the presents and appreciated the gesture, happy to share festive greetings with family back home.
Community service initiatives instill a sense of social responsibility, compassion and care in children. The boxes were prepared by children under the guidance of teachers to spread happiness and to learn the art of giving.

“Inculcating the right values from a very young age plays an important role in the development of children into well-groomed individuals; making them kind, charitable, and giving adults. Our goal is to make sharing and caring a natural part of their lives”, said Dr. Vandana Gandhi, CEO and Founder of British Orchard Nursery group.

British Orchard Nursery, besides having a “Green Curriculum” encouraging children on environmental initiatives; also supports orphanages, old age homes, animal shelters and charitable causes towards the needy through donating a percentage of its revenue to the Nursery’s CSR wing.  The Nursery’s parents and staff also give back to the community by volunteering their time, participating in events such as the Walk for Education and Walk for Autism, amongst other initiatives. In fact, the Nursery runs a training center for teachers and parents’ courses, not only on child care but also on special needs, CSR and varied other topics. The Nursery has received multiple quality awards including the coveted ‘Arabia CSR Award’, besides being certified in ISO Health, Safety, Environment and School Quality.
