• Services aimed at helping students find their best-fit pathway to post-secondary education and beyond

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - October 08, 2019:    GEMS Education and its UniConnect division have partnered with My Path to Uni (MPTU), a new consortium of high-profile education providers offering both online and offline best-practice college and career guidance resources and services to students. This is the first resource of its kind in the region, offering a one-stop-shop for students to access a comprehensive range of services and tools needed for academic and career success, adapted to the student’s individual needs and best-fit pathway.

As well as providing virtual support through its primary online presence at www.mypathtouni.com, MPTU is also stationed at GEMS Wellington Academy – Al Khail, where students will be able to meet with counsellors and representatives of member institutions face-to-face from 27 October 2019. MPTU provisions are open to all students, not only those part of the GEMS Education network, with services including application and essay support, test preparation, coaching, mentoring and psychometric guidance, pathway programmes, and internships and work placements.

Christophe Savard, MPTU’s Vice President – Student Pathways as well as GEMS Education’s Vice President – Student Career & Future Employment Architect, said: “I am really excited about the launch of My Path to Uni and commend the teamwork and efforts of all partners involved. Building a resource through these strategic partnerships allows for students to receive the best of all services and expertise under one umbrella.”

Key partners within the MPTU consortium include IDP Education, Score Plus and The Princeton Review, Oliv.com, Lifology, Arizona State University, PWC Academy, and Prompt.com. The full list of members is available at https://mypathtouni.com/our-partners/.

Rashi Bhattacharya, IDP Education’s Country Director – UAE, Oman, Qatar, said: “IDP Education is proud to partner with GEMS Education as we look to fulfil our mission, to guide students along their international education aspirations. ‘If you have a dream, we have the way’ is a truly fitting statement given the educational expertise between both brands and the complete student centricity across all aspects of the business.”

Lana Eghterafi, Regional Director, MENA at Lifology, said: “We at Lifology are proud to establish a partnership with GEMS Education and are thrilled for all the opportunities it will offer to students. Lifology is a pioneer in its global mission to connect the career selection process to happiness, fulfilment and satisfaction in life. Psychometric assessments, personalised career coaching, industry expert mentoring and access to the most up-to-date labour market information will provide GEMS Education students with invaluable insights into the world of careers and help them on their path. The association between GEMS Education and Lifology will be instrumental in guiding students to a bright and meaningful future.”

Moving forward, MPTU intends to expand to multiple sites hosted by GEMS Education over the next year, providing greater access and convenience to students across the UAE.
