Autumn/Winter 2019 Menswear Collection
Dubai, United Arab Emirates - November 06, 2019: The Autumn/Winter 2019 collection showcases premium cold-weather staples in an updated colour palette of rich navy, deep charcoal and earthy neutrals. River Island’s edit inspires the modern-day gentleman to reinvent day-to-day outfit building with fresh layering options. Encouraging individualism, the collection promotes versatility and practicality, allowing for endless day-to-night dressing opportunities.
BLACKOUT focuses on a monochrome colour palette with accents of pillar-box red across vinyl puffer jackets and panelled, soft cotton sweaters. The sports-luxe edit features technical trims and nylon and neoprene fabrics across streetwear tees and lightweight sweaters. Heritage checks feature prominently across shirting, zip-up sweaters and in front panels on jersey joggers, whilst the Maison Riviera slogan adds an urban edge to boxy fit tees, loungewear shorts and quilted, high-shine gilets.
URBAN EXPLORER showcases an array of neutral shades for casual outdoor pieces in premium cotton and heavyweight borg fabrics. Toggle fastenings feature on the cream Maison Riviera slogan sweater and the structured black chinos with gold popper hems. Utilitarian styling is upgraded in the tapered, pleated chinos in khaki and earthy chartreuse bomber jacket, with silver popper fastenings and zipper seams. Funnel-neck fleece tops take on a relaxed fit and make a statement with cosy borg panelling in bold primary colours.
80’S MONO MOD reinvents luxe smartwear with leather, PU and suedette fabrications for structured outerwear. Traditional shirting styles as well as zip-hem trousers and fine-gauge knit roll-necks showcase monochrome patterns in the form of stripes, checks and colour blocking. Grungy denim jeans with a high-shine coating aesthetically elevate and add textural depth to conventional denim styles.
COLLEGE DROPOUT is fresh and preppy with a variety of heritage check prints reimagined on shirting in varying sizes and on contrast panelling, in clashing reds, cobalt blue and calm neutrals. The forest green cord suit creates a powerful statement when worn together but also when dressed down as smart separates.
SEVENTIES features premium smart-casual classics in autumnal tones. The deep indigo checked blazer and matching baker boy hat evoke the essence of 70’s dressing whilst the grey faux fur overcoat adds opulence to traditional sartorial styling. Navajo print is showcased on the woolen coach jacket in terracotta, the perfect layering piece when worn over the rust knitted jumper and
ecru button-up jersey polo.
