Dubai Police Academy launches week-long pre-event activities ahead of graduation ceremony
Breathtaking performances featuring luxury cars, bands, police dogs, bicycles & horses to go on until January 9
Dubai, 03 January 2020 – An array of pre-event activities, organized by the Dubai Police Academy ahead of the graduation ceremony of higher education students and 27th batch of cadets, began yesterday (Thursday, January 2) at several locations in the emirate. The activities include a series of police shows, formations and bands, as well as a group of recreational and educational events that highlight the role of Dubai Police General Command in contributing to the happiness of the society and enhancing its security and safety. The activities will continue until January 9, 2020.
Pre-event activities include luxury cars, bands, police dogs, bicycles, and horses, and feature a military parade by nominated students and students of Dubai Police Protection Schools. Yesterday’s activities and performances were held at Global Village, Al Seef district and Hatta. Tomorrow’s (Saturday, January 4) activities will take place in La Mer and JBR.
Diverse array of events
Brigadier Dr. Ghaith Ghanim Al Suwaidi, Director of the Dubai Police Academy, expressed his happiness at the launch of the pre-event activities ahead of the graduation ceremony of higher education students and 27th batch of cadets. He noted that the activities represent the continuation of academic efforts to launch community activities that reflect the Academy’s absolute commitment to establish a culture based on happiness and spreading a positive spirit, thereby enhancing the sense of security and safety among the members of society. He added: 'We look forward to providing the maximum support to all activities and initiatives that support the academic achievements of police staff. As you all know, excellent qualifications of our police staff reflect positively on our country as well as the comfort levels, happiness and safety of our people. We strive to gain our people’s confidence.'
Al-Suwaidi added: 'These events are expected to attract citizens, residents and tourists alike. They represent the fruits of our labor and our success in organizing pioneering recreational and educational activities. We have fully harnessed all capabilities to provide the necessary training to all cadets, especially new students, in order to make the ceremony a big success and achieve the highest levels of excellence. It is our responsibility to continue organizing and launching such events that contribute to the happiness and wellbeing of the society, while also as ensuring safety and security in Dubai.”
