The Pointe and Al Mamzar are the other two locations where Union Coop has established this new concept store which is more or less a hybrid of Hypermarket and a grocery store

United Arab Emirates,  October 12, 2020:  Union Coop, the largest Consumer Cooperative in the UAE is about to open its third branch of the COOP chain at Al Quoz-1, Dubai. This new branch of the COOP concept comes as part of its expansion strategy to increase its market share by opening new branches of different sizes.
Recently, Union Coop’s Admin Affairs Dept. fulfilled the final handover formalities to the Operations Department, who will execute the finishing touches necessary to launch the store.

Leading the Marketing efforts at Union Coop, Dr. Suhail Al Bastaki, Director of Happiness & Marketing Department said: - “Our primary aim is to deliver the services to the residents of the respective area. The valuable consumers will have the option of choosing from more than 20,000 food and non-food items.”
Concerning loyalty benefits, Al Bastaki said: - “We would like to highlight that Union Coop Shareholders can make purchases on their membership account. Moreover, customers of the Tamayaz loyalty program can use their Gold (for Shareholders) and Silver Tamayaz cards at the time of purchase and earn loyalty points. They can get additional discounts on a variety of products during promotions, which is another good reason to get a Tamayaz Card.”

“Union Coop as a regular practice is implementing all precautionary measures to combat ‘Coronavirus’ which includes comprehensive and complete sterilization of sale facilities and shelves in all outlets throughout the day, as well as implementing more extensive sterilization operations for the branches at night after the end of working hours in areas of shelves and refrigerators while protecting goods, especially food items during the sterilization,” added al Bastaki to anti-COVID measures followed by the retail chain.

The new Coop branch is located on the ground floor of a commercial building owned by Union Coop in Al Quoz ‘first’ area, covering an area of 13,548 sq. ft. and a storage area of 3,799 sq. ft. The civil and electromechanical works have been completed and the branch is currently in the furnishing phase in preparation for operations and the project is expected to be open by November 1st 2020.
